Well there a bunch of guys over @ s10forum that think it will work? Whenver I look at websites for tires most 275's say 9-11 rim? My question is will it work? Cuz 245's up front with 275's in back would be awsome!

i'm not sure if it's the same, but i have 245-50-15s in front and 275-50-15s in the rear and the fronts are 15x7 and the rears are 15x8s. it should work...

Dang with a 10" you could proly fit some 315's!

after looking at the sizing chart, i think you gotta have a 9" rim to do that 275...i think the only reason i could was because i have a lot more sidewall on my drag radials than a 17" rim would. not sure though.

a 17 X 8 with a 275 tire would be downright scary. I wouldn't even go over a 255 let alone a 275 :wooo

275-40 will fit... however it's going to bulge over pretty far. 275 is the absolute max on an 8" wide rim.

For reference...
245 - (45 or 50), max on a 17x7
275 - 40, max on a 17x8
315 - 35, max on a 17x9

Where is a reference chart for that info? I've been looking for something like that. Thanks.

usually the brand of tire that you want has a sizing chart with the min/max rim and stuff like that. i know for a fact bfgoodrich has one.

You might want to look again or call Tire Rack to verify. I researched alot of tire sizes in the past and a 275 is NOT recommened for a 17x8 rim. The min is a 17x9. I ran 17x8's before and every place I went to to try and mount a 275 wouldnt touch it as it will cause a bulge. Trucks have a higher center of gravity and cause more roll on turns than a car will so I wouldnt advice it.

meh...I thought my 275's were on an 8 inch rim on the SS/T. Could have been nine inches though.

Oh well I may look into 265s but I'm leaning towards 255s again.

My dad has 295/50/16 on an 8 inch wheel. The tires are BF Goodrich. Yearone said it would fit and my dad hasn't had a problem for a year now.
