just tore into the busa this year to clean up some edges from when i cut the mudflap shovel off and come to find my lexan plate mount was cracked almost all the way off. stuffs pretty thick so not shure why it cracked but it was a clean looking crack bout 3/4 the way across the sheet i had made. So now i'm looking for some aluminum maybe steel but steel would be heavy. Probably looking for a plate about 2 1/2" wide by 6 1/2" long about 1/8" thick. any leads on where i could get some cheap? or any one here work for a place that would have something got cash for ya :shades

don't places like farm and fleet sell small sections? or ace hardware?

I've got carbon fiber.

carbon fiber would look sexy but i don't think it would hold up for what i need. angle iron will not work for what i need. i was looking at aluminum just for the fact that i can polish it out real nice and maybe have it engraved later down the road. I had the lexan on there for quite some time and was thinking about running lights to it so it would glow but if i can get aluminum i would polish the crap out of it. Like i said carbon fiber would be sexy as all hell but i think it would have to be quite think to retain the strength?
