I have a table for the West Bend gun show Mar. 26-28.
If anyone wants more of these lowers let me know, we'll have plenty of time to get them here.

Price has gone up to $132.99 plus tax, take off $3 for cash or money order discount. Because alot of you couldn't buy one last time around, I will also be including the transfers with these, for the BCM members. :thumbsup

Let me know.

Brian

What's with the price change? 33% increase :(

DMPS buffer tube is probably a big reason.

Coops Brother
03-10-2010, 07:36 PM
Buffer tube is part of it, I was told when I ordered them that the 99.99 was an introductory special, and the price would be going up mid-march. Don't forget BCM'ers are still getting the transfer included, which is usually not the case....

West Bend would work perfect for me, but that is my weekend to work. I assume you would stay by Mike? Maybe I could come out and pick one up one of those evenings??

$132 is an awesome deal on complete/assembled lowers.

Yes, they are a MIL spec standard lower, they should accept any standard trigger setup, at least as far as I can tell.

Question for you guys

Can you get the uppers sent right to you or do you have to go through a FFL for those as well? I think they can be sent to you because they aren't a serial #'d part, but I thought I'd ask you guys who have done this already.

your right, an upper can be sent right to you. no need for an ffl dealer

Anyway................... I am picking up an lower from Brian in West Bend at this show. I'm trying to decide what upper to go with. I already have an AR-15 in .223/5.56 and I have a .22lr so I don't need those. I know Coop didn't have a good experience with the shotgun upper............so, throw me some ideas on what you guys have or are getting.

The Grendel is not the answer but with the AR15 lower (non 308/ AR10) the 6.5 bullet is the best ballistics bar none.

$540 22lr. I know there's cheaper dedicated 22 uppers out there but I wanted an aluminum upper not a composite one.

I'm considering the 6.8 for my hunting rifle

$525 complete from Stag Arms (http://www.stagarms.com/product_info.php?cPath=14_24&products_id=246) is the best prices I've found so far.

Reverend Cooper
03-14-2010, 09:20 PM
Its not his increase unfortunately they had issues with the buffer tubes in the old lowers and replaced them before they were shipped to Brian the first time and they honored the old price. they are now adjusting all prices on lowers due to the more expensive dpms tubes they are using. but all in all considering stripped lowers go for more than this i would say bargain is a understatement

My buddy has one of the ones I got and put about 300rnd of .223 on the lower. He likes it so far and commented that the trigger actually fels pretty good.

I put my M&P15 upper on mine a couple weekends ago and ran 200 rounds through it. I emptied 2 magazines bump firing it (closest to full auto you can get). It held up perfectly no problems.

That being said, I'm still only building a 22lr out of mine.

A lot of those reviews are from people who have never even held one let alone shoot one.

I have aluminum and poymer lowers sitting next to me, even if the lower was under the "load" it would hold up fine. The lowers job is so easy in its configuration Im sure it will handle a 50 beowolf. The buffer tube housing simply moves the spent or new unfired round to the uppers chamber, gas system cycles to relaod with buffer tube to forward load.

$100 says I can fire a round from your upper with the lower being in another zipcode ;)
Just need a hammer or weight to cycle loaded firing pin, no lower needed....just expect an off "bang" out the backhalf :O
