If you don't mind picking it up from the airport, and if your sure it will only be gone for a certain amount of time. Try looking into booking it thru hotwire.com right now you can get a full size car for 31.95 a day including all the taxes and fees. Only catch is they tell you what company your picking up from after you book the car.

I looked up Enterprise rates for the same car class and its 60.41 per day + all the taxes if you book for a minimum of 3 days. Otherwise its 77.50 + all the taxes per day.

I thought I was getting one from enterprise today but the service guy and I didnt get along very well.......so anyways, I will need to get it this thursday afternoon returning it sat afternoon just for around town. I will look into hotwire as well and Coop, Matt's price wasnt that great so I passed on it plus way too many hoops to jump through paying with a debit card.

hrsp, thanks for the offer but the kids have to be in it so if there is an issue with starting, it might not be a viable option right now. thanks though!

For our upcoming trip to DC and parts thereabouts, we went thru Priceline just recently and got a fullsize for $20 a day. Might be worth a shot.

Thank! I got a decent price from hertz downtown so far, so that will be my first call in the am and hope I dont have a ton of hoops to jump through using the debit card.
