They are sold out left and right at the stores. Whats the deal? They are getting rather scarce. :confused

I think it has to due with the demand for them with the new Final Fantasy game coming out, and everyone buying them when MAG came out. I waited just over a week to get my PS3 from GameStop. Maybe Sony is holding on to them to release a Final Fantasy PS3 for a little bit more money.

I love my PS3 way more than my Xbox 360 when I had one.

I've been reading online that its opretty much everywhere. Some people are saying its becuase there is way more demand now than Sony had anticipated so they are on backorder everywhere I guess?

I agree too with FF coming out people will snatch them up like crazy along with MAG.

It looks as tho now Sony is making up some good ground with their product vs. the 360.

I still have my almost launch system from Jan of 2007 going strong. :headbang

Wtf?> Speaking of PS3, I just tried to log in and I can't log in to the PSN. Garbage...

Edit* Seems to be there are some issues with the PSN at the moment. http://www.google.com/search?q=PSN+problems%3F&sourceid=ie7&rls=com.microsoft:en-us:IE-SearchBox&ie=&oe=

Apparently between the price drop and the holidays Sony sold way more units then the were expecting. I think I heard around 1.4 million just around Christmas time. So they are trying to catch up.

I went to any place that would possibly sell video games, and they were all sold out and didn't really know why. My step brother works at Target and he says at least 10 people every day come in looking for a PS3. Everywhere I went had plenty of 360's, but no PS3's.

This could be why... Conspiracy theory = they knew this was going to happen, wanting us to upgrade to the new slim version.

Glitch is fixed. It had something to do with internal clock and leap year.

Was it just a simple patch download?

No download. Sony fixed it on their side somehow.

From reviews I've seen it's not very FF like. There doesn't seem to be much RPG in it.

Eh, I'll still buy it, over 50hrs of gameplay, 100+ sidequests, hidden junk galore, replay value thru the roof, it's a bargain at ~$50. :)

It'll be interesting if FF fans like the new game with it being pretty different from past FF games. FF players seem to be pretty hardcore about that series.

I've been playing Dragon Age Origins the last 2 weeks, probably got about 40 hours into it. By far the most I've put into a single game in a long time. Still have quite a bit to do yet. Most RPG playing I've done since Oblivion.

Ohh that game looks fucking amazing!

I just bought FF7 from the PlayStation Store, gotta practice and FF7 is my favorite FF made so far.

I think Im going to be picking up BBC 2. It just came out today. I enjoyed the first one and BF 1943 so this one has to be just as good or better. :headbang

not reallly excited about ffxiii...i hear its pretty damn linear with no world map or towns. I miss the old days of final fantasy IV and VI (2 and 3 in the us back in the day). FFVII VIII and IX were good, 10 was ok, never played 12

I'm playing FF7 right now, got about 6 hours into it already. I love my PS3, it really does everything.

i just finished campaign of bad company 2. Not as "technical" as COD, so it looses out there. The "hard" isn't hard at all. More like medium on COD.

I still prefer the first Rainbow Six Las Vegas to pretty much every other games campaign

My cousin rented Bad Company 2, didn't see the campaign mode. He was playing online and it seems the online play is more interactive with the levels. You can shoot down trees, cut through fences and stuff like that. Seems like a good game to me. I wanna try MAG out though.

yeah, the campaign is under "single player" on that first screen.

it is cool, cause you can destroy the environment like you said. it helped in the cmpaign mode, cause you can blow up a fence and go around possible trouble points.
