This is my question is thier anyway of finding were and what was the damage was? The title and problem check was clean. I bought the truck from a local dealer and the only report between the auction to the report of mileage at the dmv when I bought it is the damage. If it was at a dealer when damage happend why would they claim it, I would think they would repair it and sweep it under the rug and if it was at the auction it would be sold as is. So is thier something i'm missing here it says 3 owner but how they cal it, it would be orginal owner, auction, then me. So right now im not to happy that I bought a truck that at once was damaged.
so any info or help is much apraciated.

Uhhh reading that gives me a headache...

If it was at a dealership, and there was an accident and it happened on the road it has to be reported. If they have a body shop, that may of been why it was reported if it happened on the lot.

Carfax normally gives a more in depth report of what the damage was. Example is on my wife's car, the Carfax reads "Vehicle involved in accident with Fixed Object. Colided with Tree. Severe Damage Reported"

The Autocheck for my 9-5 Says "Colision Repair Performed" where on the Carfax it says "Routine Maintinence Performed" and it was at a Saab dealership.

I used Auto Check from someone on another site. It said my car had damage in 2005.It was never damaged. I bought it new in 2003.

That's my point. AutoCheck isn't very accurate. They haven't had the time nor do they have the background that carfax does.

Point being: Get a Carfax to be 100% sure. In the end it's not bad comparing the two, however I think that Carfax is more accurate.
