My mom just had it in December. If I recall right recovery time was one to two weeks.

my mom had it done 4 years ago, they do it arthoscopicly (sp?) surgery took 2 hrs and she took the week off, was fine after that.

Mother had it as well, she actually was able (though it wasn't recommended) to travel a few days after the surgery.

Do you get sick after eating high fat/protein meals?

Dan, my old man had it done. Arthroscopic surgery. Like others said, recovery time was 1 week or less, and he was back at work, doing great. Been doing great ever since. Go for it.

My Mother inlaw needed it, but was afraid to have it. Long story short it burst, she's no longer with us.

Mine is gone. Not voluntarily. Stone got stuck... caused an infection.... had to go. That was about 10 years ago. Mine was removed by Laparoscopic surgery and it went well. Recovery went smooth... but I was 24 at the time. :)

What's a gull bladder? Does that make you hang out in McDs parking lot looking for french fries?

Maybe a delicacy in some countries, probably in some sort of soup...
