My brother needs a new strut for his truck (2006 Ram), and he took it in to 5 Corners Dodge in Cedarburg 2 weeks ago.

They didn't have it in stock when he brought it in, and they are still saying it isn't in yet... "we'll call you when it is"

Really? It takes this long to get such a common part? :confused

They are on back order. They are very shitty and fail commonly. I currently have 4 sets on order and thats just me (one tech out of 17 at my dealer)

Probably China. That's where everything seems to be made.

new strut for his truck (2006 Ram),

I gotta ask being I've worked at a few dealerships, why would he pay dealer 200% markup on an inferior part that will fail so quickly? If the struts arent falling off those lemons the ball joints are squeaking and clunking so bad your ashamed to drive it.

Russ (I own Dodges because there cheap) Jerome :)

Kenosha.

Yeah, worst decision Chrysler ever made was replacing the torsion bars and switching to coil overs. I have only seen 1 ball joint go bad on a 1/2 ton, dont get me started on 2500 and 3500s. Balljoints and axle u-joints every 40k.

Here I thought dumping leaf springs in 1994 was the worst decision!
With socker moms using crew cab pickups for grocery getters coils where enevitable, nobody builds a real truck for men anymore :(

Before i bought my challenger, i was looking at new rams, not manly at all!! My 05 will be my last Ram pick up unless Dodge does something.
