Help!! 40/45/50/17 ?!??!?!

I'm running 17x8's and need to decide over 40/45/50 sidewall!!! I'm leaning towards 50 cuz I think 40/45 series would look to small. But I need your guys advice on the decision. Heres a link to my gallery for some pics.

Thats basically the same size as what we run and the 40 seems to be ideal. If your truck is lowered it should look fine. Dont forget you just need to maintain the outside diameter of the wheel/tire for your speedo. 50 series might be too meaty on a rim that big especially if you are lowered.

Ok the 40 series it is. I remeber lookin at my uncle ZR1's and they looked ok. Also this way I have the best clearance. As for tire size, I got one of those silly programers so that shouldn't be a problem.

255/40/17 (http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=Kumho&tireModel=Ecsta+MX&vehicleSearch=false&partnum=54YR7EMX&fromCompare1=yes)

The tires are Kuhmo Ecsta MX's. Similar to Good Year Eagle F1's I think, but cheaper and more size variety.

Either of those 2 will look fine. What was the width of the rims again? Some rim width might require a wider tire but I personally think the slightly meatier 255's would look good, but the small stagger would look good too.

They are 17x8's. 255/40 will just fit on a 8" rim I think. I may have to get 255/45's
