I'm thinking about renting 1 sport snowmobile sometime in the next few weeks for a day or so to see if I like the sport enough to buy a sled. What are some good places to rent one within 90 minutes or so from Delafield (near waukesha)??

Idk down here, google is your friend. Go 3 hours north and they are a dime a dozen. A lot better snow too.

Isn't there anyone that you can just borrow one from to use for the day? Pay them a few bucks, I think it gets expensinve to rent a sled from a rental company. :confused

I've watched enough guys ride to know borrowing a 140hp sowmobile is kinda like borrowing a drag car, may need a deposit of the same value just in case :)

What about buying a beater sled for a few bills, resell it if you like it?

I got it! Offer $250:

Tear off out of his yard, down the street start stripping all the body/weight off it so it goes faster. Come back along the freeway and have your chase driver pick you up if you dont like it or it dies. Fun day trip!

As a snowmobiler, what you say here Russ is one of the funniest things I have ever heard, but it also one of the best idea EVER. :rolf

Renting a sled up north is about 150-200 a day.
