gear swap

I would like to have the gears changed in my 98 trans-am a4 from 3.23 to 3.73. I have the gears but I need someone (or speed shop) that can do a good job. I DO NOT WANT a WHINE I bought motive gears and install kit. Any help would be appreciated greatly. Rick :burnout

i had mine done at speed inc......www.ls1speed.com.....i had noisy gears installed, and speed inc did such a good job that their not even noisy.... :thumbsup ....they charged me 300 bucks (Installation, programming, fluids)

I cant garantee motives would be dead quiet.... Even with the pinion depth set with in .001 that its recomended, its still an aftermarket gear and is harder than stock and will have a light whine regardless.

i think that the whole whine thing is overrated......its not really even noticeable, and i really don't mind the light humming once in awhile from the back.....but thats me

Thank you for all the help. I think I will let speed inc due the gear change That is where I bought the gears from so maybe they will cut me a break on the install. Thanks again Rick

they'll do the programming free, and that way you have a full warranty if anything goes wrong with the gears :thumbsup
