I've easily gone through 100 bucks worth of dog toys in the last few months with our dog Levin, he chews through ANYTHING. Last night I picked up an ORKA bone and he had it in 50 pieces before I left for work at 9pm. WTF, another 10 bucks down the pisser :rolf

Next step is buying the GoughNuts extreme, but I am having a hard time finding them locally and Amazon doesn't sell them. What do you guys give your dogs?

This is the one I bought last night, figures its half price at amazon

He does have two kongs and loves them, one at Lisa's parents house and another here. But he doesn't like to chew on them like he does EVERYTHING else. I think he sees the kong and things GET THE PEANUT BUTTER OUT WITH THE TONGUE and forgets that he could chew on it as well.

We had the same thing - the Wubba thing was $5 or so at Hobo and squeeks, so she'll chew/chase it. It's as big as her big Kong too.

Only thing that lasts around here. Our pit can go through anything else in seconds.

My parents dog is the same way, destroys everything except these two things so far

This ones hard plastic and she hasn't been able to chew through it and break it. I told my mom two days and were on two months

This one she hasn't been able to dent yet either

My dog has a bone that looks like the nylabone but its purple. I bought it at the pet store behind solid gold mc donalds, it was $24.00 but it has lasted over 2 years now and he chews on it every day. The bad thing is when he brings it by you to play it removes hair on your legs and hurts like hell!

My Cane Corso (aka: Italian Death Mastiff!) eats toys within hours, I got her one of those big ass white hard bones and she has been chewing it for literaly months and barely scratched the surface.Think it was from Pets Plus.

get a femur bone from your local butcher shop.. Pick n save can get them also just ask them to not cut it up(pns gets the whole bone with knuckles on both sides or just get the center piece about 6-7 inches).. cook it or leave it raw should last a LONG time. when i worked at brossmans in caladonia we would smoke them by the case. and sell at least a case or two a week of just center cut femur bones. if its cooked and not smoked it wont do any harm to the inside of the house just don't use it as a "play fetch" toy.

Our Dane is a chewer, so I know the feeling.

Femur bones have been her favorite. I stuff them with yogurt and freeze them overnight. I prefer it over the smell of peanut butter and the yogurt is good for them just like it is good for people.

Lola also likes the Cuz (Bad Cuz, Good Cuz, Other Cuz). The squeak is kind of annoying, but she goes crazy for it and it has lasted (she chewed off the devil horns on the Bad Cuz and is going for the feet now, but even so, the rest of it is holding up).

Bully Sticks are another option, if you can get over what they are made of and the smell as they are chewed on.

You can also fill your Kong with yogurt and kibble and freeze it. Makes the Kong more desirable for a longer period of time. I think the flavors eventually soak into the rubber because Lola will stick pick hers up and throw it again long after she has emptied it.

Columbo can destroy one of those Kong Wubbas in about two days... We stopped buying toys regular price and just started grabbing them off the clearance rack. That way a $7-$15 toy is $1-$3. We just stock up so that way the boys have multiples. Stops fights plus they destroy them slower. Spent about $100 clearing out the clearnace section a few months back and we're still working on going through all the toys...

The one thing that Columbo don't destroy in a few days are those fake tires... I'm not sure but it took him about a year to destroy the last one.... But of course he had other toys in the middle... :rolf
