Probably a long shot on here, but just passing it along for my daddy.

Lola AMW and spare chassis for sale

I have decided to sell my 3 time National Champion Lola T540/AMW DSR, all body molds, a spare Moly T-540 chassis and a shop full of wheels, spares, engines and more. This car is still very competitive and reliable, but my work and family obligations keep me from having the time to race and prep the car. I will sell the Lola AMW in several packages as desired or everything for $20,000. (Great deal!)

Possible packages available:

Option #1: Lola DSR #7 that last ran at R/A in July of 2007. This 3 time National Championship winning car as ran in 2002, accomplishing the Runoffs Pole and track record at Mid-Ohio. (one of seven DSR Runoffs Pole positions) Complete with my best 850cc Fuel Injected engine, Carbon clutch, 6-speed Hewland MK9 w/ lightened Torsen diff, Carbon body, upgraded suspension geometry, Penske 8760 3-way shocks, lightweight billet front uprights, center-lock Kodiak wheels, Wilwood brakes, lightened rotors, Pennen Carbon wing, mounted rains, Aim Pista dash. This is a very sorted out car that handles and runs great. Engine parts and service are available if needed. All in stock engine parts will be available for 50% off to the buyer. All set up sheets and documentation included. Needs some minor repairs and a good winter look over.
$15,000. or make offer

(1990 DSR Champion @ Road Atlanta) This car may have been the most successful DSR in the 90’s and has great documentation and history with 6 full log books. All documentation included. Project car, not assembled.

Includes: Professionally built 4130N Chrome Moly frame (only 3 races old) 6” & 8” Revolution wheels and complete big brakes (if not sold in vintage package) All gauges and wiring Pedals, master cylinders and lines Steering rack, wheel & shaft New aluminum side panels (3 races old) Fuel cell Complete shifter
$3,500. ($3,000. w/o wheels) or make offer

Option #4: All body molds for the current DSR or from the original 80’s DSR. (Nose and part of mid section are shared) Including radiator duct molds. (If not sold with car)
$3,000. or make offer

Option #5: Everything from all above packages. Close to enough parts to build two cars and all the body molds included. This package will also include all spare body parts, brake rotors, hats, pads, uprights, and control arms for both packages.
$20,000.

I had wanted to build the new chassis as a DSR with tunnels using all the light weight and updated parts from the current DSR. Then re-install all the original parts and drive train into the current DSR for vintage use. I do not have the time, but this would be huge head start for anyone that that has the time and ability. Engine parts and service on either engine is available. I also have a good spare 850cc motor available. All in stock engine parts will be available for 50% off to the buyer. All set up, maintenance and repair advice included.

best of luck with the sale michelle! killer deal for a very well prepped car!

wouldn't even have to be used as a scca racer, it's really easy on tires from what i have heard, so track day's and time trials would be killer in that thing!

Looks like the car might be making a long journey to Australia if everything gets worked out. Spare chassis might be going to France and all the engine parts will be up for sale separately as a whole package (with enough spare parts to build and rebuild plenty of engines).

Will be very sad to see it go, but the thought of getting one of those shipping containers (20x8x8) and fitting the car and all the body molds in it sounds like a fun puzzle for the geek in me. Plus it opens up the racecar shop for the future father-daughter project - Pony Express II. :devil

Spare chassis went to Europe and the racecar left for California today. Nice man picked it up. Going to be his "track day toy" now that he retired. Planning on throwing a Cosworth engine into it and having some fun.

I won't lie, I shed some good tears today.
