For sale is my trusty Mac G4. No need for this machine anymore since it was replaced with our new iMac. It works flawless. Here are the specs:

Power PC g4 processor 500mhz
1GB of RAM
2 internal HDs with room for 2 more 120GB: 1 27GB and 1 120GB (the 120 is a super nice Samsung Spinpoint drive)
Pioneer DVD-RW
Zip 100
8 total USB ports (6 in the tower, 2 in the keyboard)
2 Firewire ports
Ethernet
DVI port + various monitor connections
Viewsonic Optiquest 17" LCD
Fresh install of OS 10.3 with all updates to 10.3.9
Both OS 10.2 and 10.3 install discs
1 year old Apple full keyboard
Microsoft 2-button mouse

The interior of the machine is super clean. I vac'd everything when I built it and added the later G4 HD tray when I bought the machine which makes HD swaps super easy. The machine was used to run Photoshop for my photography and some light internet usage and thats about it. Runs great on OS 10.3.9 but you could upgrade to 10.4 if you wanted to. I have had several Mac machines over the years and this is a nice one. There are a few light scratches on the exterior of the case. Just cosmetic from moving.

Looking for $150 OBO for the whole package. Just want it gone since it won't be used anymore. I figure that is fair since I just bought the DVD-RW for it ($60) and it has the brand new Apple keyboard ($49). PLUS the install CDs (no Ebay auction will include the OS discs).

Couple photos of it:

how old is this computer? 500mhz processor? Is that good for a mac? My 9 year old HP has a 1.8ghz (factory). I'm pretty interested in this. Monitor included in price?

its about 8-9 years old I'd guess? Back when Apple was using the Power PC processor (before the Intel chips), the rating of the processor speed wasn't a direct comparison to the PC equivalent. If that makes sense? For example, a Mac 400mhz Power PC machine was faster than a 700mhz PC. (my figures arent accurate, just trying to explain this).

Its a great machine. Not as fast as an Intel Mac (obviously) but these are ultra reliable, easy to work on and add/replace parts etc.

And the front hard drive is a 27GB drive, not 25. Not like it matters and I also forgot that this machine has space for 4 internal drives not 3.

worth mentioning: I have the computer listed on craigslist also and I have gotten 5 phone calls already about it. Mostly Apple geeks that want it to build. Would give first dibs to a BCM member if they wanted it
