Live PC Virus Removal

Hey,

A friends computer has the Live PC virus, it's explained it pretty well here: http://www.2-viruses.com/remove-live-pc-care

What's the best way to get rid of it?

Scroll to the area where it says "Automated Removal Instructions for Live PC Care using Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware:"

If that doesn't take care of it, you may need to do some manual stuff.

Just a tip, you never need to buy any software to facilitate removal of common malicious software. All the stuff you need is available to you for free. Go get spybot S&D, malwarebytes, autoruns, rootkit revealer, fileassasin, BartPE(or knoppix, or any NTFS enabled dos boot disk), and psexec. Having those tools available can help you solve 99% of spyware/malware infections if you know how to use them.

Thanks for the info. I ran Malwarebytes, and I'm pretty sure it cleared it out. I haven't used the computer since then, but it appeared to take care of it.
