I started my 125g tank over today, scraped the paint off the back to add a print and added some blue leds under the tank. The dock I made at work with some scrap metal. Its powdercoated with a textured paint so the turtles have some traction, this one is temporary until I built an above tank basking area. Lets see what you guys are rockin.

looks cool. my uncle has a 200 gal tank with a solid oak top and stand..also has 2 power head filter systems?? i think thats what he called them.. he was trying to get rid of it. i thought about getting it for my basement but i would rather finish the basement then put a tank in instead of finishing it around the tank and having to move it around.. shit aint light took 4 of us to move just the tank out of his house and into the garage..

Nice. What kind of load are you running? I'm running my XP4 on my 75 Gallon with a 7" Female Painted. It works freaking awesome. My arrangement is:

[Biomax]
[Biomax]
[Generic polishing pads cut to fit]
[Factory black pads coarse/fine]

My tank was in the front window and I rarely had ANY algae it was amazing. Normally sun light = algae heaven.

Yes they do, over 80 bucks for a 50 footer. I made mine with a 10 dollar garden hose and the 6 dollar kit from Ace. Didn't really make it, just screwed it together :thumbsup

I dont have any updated pics, its actually 100% different than what it was...
now instead of a few big fish, and 10 or so little fish, theres about 20 medium fish, 2 of which, can shock the fuck out of anything they want. (electric catfish)

in the two images with my thumb, thats there too compare the size of my smallest snail, to my biggest snail, biggest one is nearly 1.5x the size now.

its a 155 gallon, and currently stocked with;

10-15 cichlids,
9 panda cories,
3 misc. small fishies
1 jurrari japari,
2 plecos, "Max" (was RX7project's) and "Kao Pectate"
2 electric catfish -look like eels
1 synodontis catfish
1 small silver catfish
1 tiny clown loach
1 african clawed FROGGY
1 over foot long irradecent shark

and easily 2-5 fishies im forgetting about

Hey if you're tearing the 150 down I want Max back. My pleco isn't doing his job on my 55.

Whitey, Jack the Ripper, Hannibal Lecter, Hoover, and 5 male white clouds hiding in the fake green plant. Whitey and Hoover I purchased in high school, so they are at least 7 years old. I love $0.05 feeder fish! Hannibal and Jack have to be 3 years by now.

6 gallon, I think.

Jaws the red-tailed shark and a female white cloud. Jaws was beating up on Whitey, so he got demoted to a little tank. He kills any other fish that I put with him, except for this female white cloud. Lucky girl!

Updated my 46 gallon over Spring Break. Still have to get some plants in there, but they eat the plants as quickly as I put them in there. The fake ones look too fake to me, so my search continues.

Here is the result:

- 1 bag of play sand (cleaned)
- A few rocks from outside (cleaned as well)
- Driftwood piece from ND4SPD (thanks again!)

wow thats a nice crayfish! i wonder if the blue gravel makes him more blue? I had (a blue) one with brown gravel, and he turned brown/whitish, even between molting. yours is almost identical to the gravel color. thats sweet. i didnt even notice he was murdering a fish at first, either. :headbang

I've been tossing the idea round of catching a rock bass and starting a small aquarium. Nothing to crazy.

I had one before this guy too and he was just as blue, it could be the rocks too. They are a little transparent so it is probably picking up some of the rock color!?!

I kept a 55g marine tank up until about two years ago. Fish were starting to outgrow it and I didn't have the room for anything bigger.

Undulated Triggerfish

There was also a snowflake eel but I can't find any pics of him. Also a blue devil damsel that was put in there to cycle the tank and surprisingly the triggers left him alone for a few years until one day he apparently looked extra tasty. One of these days I'll get around to setting up a bigger tank for triggers again.
