I'll probably drive up there Saturday come on up!! I plan on either bringing 50-100 rounds with me or having Brian order some Federal rounds. Depends on what I find at the gun show today.

Found these, but at $42 a round I don't think I could bring myself to pull the trigger.

I did pick up about 70 rounds at the gun show. Got a nice variety of regular ball, API, APIT, one incendiary and a couple spotter/tracer rounds. They are hand loads but price was decent @ $3.65 a round!! The only guy who had a better price was selling hand loads for $3.25 a round but everything he had was API.

I'd like to have an 82-A1 too!! But $4K for whats basically a novelty rifle was enough for me. I couldn't bring myself to spend almost 10K for an 82-A1.

Yup agreed, with a pile of cash, $3-4k can buy a used 338 lapua or .50 that will smack pedophiles off their feet all day :)

Who makes the lightest 50 or 338 out there? Single shot fine.

I didn't really do a lot of research. I've always wanted a Barrett so that's what I bought. There's a few forums that I'm sure are loaded with info on both 50bmg rifles and 338 Lapua. I've been looking at Barrett's 98Bravo rifle and am giving some thought to picking up one of those some day.

These forums have some great info:
