2004 Saab 9-3 Arc -- 156k Miles with no major issues (45k til present: 2 sets of tires, 1 set of brakes, 1 external temp sensor ($15), 5 serp belts, 3 sets spark plugs, one set of strut mounts/bearings, set of end links... )

Other than that 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo V8 - 193k Miles and still ran strong...

I have had 4.6 Crown Vics since 1996 and never had any major issues with any of them.....

Most of them had well over 100,000 miles when i got them....I had a do a sensor here and there but, I NEVER had a problem that made the car leave me stranded somewhere...

I had a green 95 CVPI that I bought with 156,000 on it from the state auction , I put over 30,000 miles on it , sold it to my friend who put 30,000 on it , he sold it to his brother who put 20,000 on it , he sold it to another friend who put 40,000 more miles on before it blew out a head gasket with over 276,000 miles on it...

The last guy who owned the car did not take care of anything as far as oil changes , so I was surprised to see it make it as far as it did....

I used to go to most of the state auctions back then and "Da Cabbies" would snag every Crown Vic they could get and the guy who was buying for their cab company told me it was pretty common to get 225,000 to 250,000 miles on the Crowns before the engines needed to be rebuilt.....I think back over my last 2 Crowns and I can honestly say I have put over 85,000 miles on them with less then $200 dollars worth of sensors needing to be replaced over all those miles , no trans work, no engine work, even had original exhausts....

So for me it was a easy choice that was not just a "one good one" deal....I have had 4 of them and they all went the distance with no major issues....

My '97 Expedition with the 5.4.

It will turn 210K miles next week.

I'm wondering if it'll get to 300K.

Have had many gm cars with the 60 degree and have had many close to 300k or Jeep 4.0l

I had an 89 Toyota Celica that took a beating. Sold it at ~195k, saw it on the road again about a year later.

Only thing it needed was a clutch (lasted to ~150k and I learned to drive stick in it), and a control arm because I hit a curb.

Nothing of mine since I rarely keep something past 40k miles at this point as an "every day driver".

But I'd guess the most reliable car would be either a Geo Prizm(based off the toyota corolla) or like a volkswagen beetle from the 60's, hahahaha

had a 87 s-10 with a 2.3 or 2.4. beat the hell out of that thing, never changed the oil, tried to kill it. drove it for 3 years and racked tons of miles on it. afterwards gave it to my old man. with well over 240,000 miles on it, it finally blew up. no power steering, no power brakes, stick shift, no power windows.......man, i miss driving a POS in a way. lot less to worry about. i would say considering what that truck went through and the lack of maintenance, that was the most dependable vehicle i have ever owned and may ever own. never left me stranded.

1981 Plymouth Horizon Miser. Easily the best and worst car I ever had. Total POS... but kept on tickin. Had an electrical gremlin which was why I ended up selling it. But I ran the thing out of oil once, waited for it to cool off, and drove it home. It overheated pretty much daily but I just kept driving it. Damn thing wouldn't die.

I second that. My buddy had a '8x Buick Century with an iron duke in it. His
wife drove it for like 20 miles with a broken oil pump when it had like 120k
miles, he filled it back up with oil, and drove up to like 250k miles. Pretty
incredible.

My most reliable for me was probably my (don't laugh) '90 AWD Talon. It was
always kept stock and I bought it with 100k. Sold it to my brother at about
150k and he ran it up to 200k during which an oil change place didn't tighten
the drain plug enough and it lost most of its oil while driving. He caught it
before too many miles, but still lost most of its oil. I think the key to it's
longevity was it was stock.

1985 Dodge Ramcharger. Sold it with 365,000 miles...Grandfather bought new to drive cross country towing a small camper. Dad took ownership when my grandfather passed away a few years later, using it as his DD until I turned 18. From there, I kept it until ~ 28 or so as a DD/winter beater. No matter what, it never failed to start or run.

I heard of a Ram got that traded into Dodgeland shortly after I quit. It had 1,050,000 miles on it. Cummins obviously and I was told it was used to deliver Airstream campers.

I worked on an 03 Express last month with 780,000 miles on it; 4.8L gas motor. My mom has a 2002 Jeep Liberty from brand new with 100k miles on it, it has only needed a radiator and condenser replaced so far, I think that is pretty good for the first model year of a car.

My Camry has 211,XXX on it. Only replaced the pads once. Replaced a belt, and a Heater Resistor (which was more by choice). Car still runs like a top. It needs new struts but that's a lot of miles on original struts.

I never keep my cars stock long enough to know :(

So considering what I have put my cars through my personal one is my (neon based) SRT-4.

Of all time? Maybe my wifes 2000 accord. Got totalled at 118k, but drove like it was off the showroom floor, and only had regular maintenance done.

I've never really had a car that I put a ton of miles on, plus I've only had three cars. But my 97 GTP was a pretty good car to me. Little stuff went wrong but nothing major, the drivetrain was good when i sold it. Its funny because I've owned 2 Maximas, both of which I had to put transmissions in, my old 92 that I bought with a bad trans, and my current 04.

85 subaru brat.... went 320k then the trasmission gave out before the motor.... only maintenance was valve adjustments, tires, tune ups and brakes. and it was fun riding in the jump seat :rolf

My Lexus SC300 is pretty good

190K miles everything works perfect and the car looks great.

only routine stuff done to it (Brakes, tires, filters) put a new serp. belt tensioner on it a few weeks ago cause it broke.

1990 Acura Integra......Non-Vtec 1.8

Had 110,000 mile when I got it, went to 380,000+..............One brake change and just oil changes......Clutch never went and it was running great when I sold it, not one thing went wrong with it.

1992 Jeep Comanche - 4.0L, 5 speed.

315,000 miles, nothing on the engine ever done but a water pump. ORIGINAL CLUTCH even (granted, it was driven from the Falls to the plant in Kenosha every day by its first owner so a lot of the miles were expressway with little shifting...)

Still ran perfect, no smoke or noise, very little oil usage right up until the day I cash for clunkered it.

my 1990 ranger 4x4 5 speed with the 2.9 is still tickin away (literally lol). Changed rear leaf springs and hangers, but otherwise still runs good. starts every day. takes a beating all the time. my buddy did coolant hoses and a thermostat on it. And a tune up. Pretty basic stuff. Brake lines were rusty so we did those too. 231k miles on it.

just recently I would have to say the 94 Jeep grand cherokee, 338k miles and still running strong. but overall my favorite was my 2000 nissan maxima. We leased it for 3 years and never changed ANYTHING not the brakes, tires or anything and probably did about 8 oil changes in its entire usage with us and we put on 70k miles on it. Not a single thing ever went wrong with it and even the oil still looked good when we traded it in. that was my favorite and the most reliable car I have ever owned.

I had several reliable vehicles. Never gave me trouble.
73 Eldo ragtop
74 Lincoln Mark IV
69 Buick Special 350
The most reliable bullet proof car on this list would have to be the 1964 Buick LeSabre 4 door hardtop I bought for $50 bucks and drove it to California with a broken motor mount. Fixed the mount and still got many miles out of it.
84 Dodge Charger I had was a great car too. I could haul all my DJ stuff in that hatchback. Had to finally junk it because the floor pan rotted. There are other cars too. The only foreign car I owned that I could consider reliable would be the 1969 Opel GT I had.

Pretty much every car I've owned has been very reliable I think. Most I haven't put a ton of miles on though but they all have been relatively older too. I'd say my LeSabre with the 3800 takes the cake since I've put on 50k now (just over 150k) with only a ignition module, ground battery cable and catalytic convertor rusting off (gutted and welded back on) as real issues...normally scheduled maintenance items otherwise. I had a somewhat recent problem but it was due to my own upgrade of the coil/module setup and the lack of putting on heat sink grease before mounting it, so I don't blame the car for that one. I hope to make it to 200k but it might take 6-7 years with my short daily commute.

My old beater cav had 166k and in two years only needed one coil pack replaced, PITA job to replace but reliable. Rust took it in the end. My current Montes and a couple beater Montes (each had 150k+) plus a beater Cutlass with no real issues for any besides one of the beater Montes leaving me stranded with a busted tie rod at UWM.

My 96 88 with the 3800 had 180K on it when I traded it in the plastic intake needed to be replaced at 180K I did that then traded it in on my truck should've kept it.
My 86 ranger had 225K on it when I traded it in on the above Olds.
Neither one had any problems except the intake on the 3800 @180K
My 94 GP has around 185K but the fuel pump went out and I haven't gotten around to fixing it

Just about everything I've owned has made it to high miles with little work, I've had over 25 cars.

The only exceptions were the two mopar I had a 1979 LeBaron with a 318 that smoked the rear with less than 100K and the 1980 Omni that the lower a-arm attaching point rotted away and nearly killed me. It changed lanes on its own just missing an f150 coming the opposite direction. The body didn't look bad so I wouldn't have guess this would happen.
