550 cubes are possible :headbang

a tad pricey but any 'new' product will carry a premium price. There is a guy developing his own aluminum block that should give this one a run.

Check out that lifter valley webbing! :thumbsup

I've always liked the world products offerings...they ARE a bit pricey, but then, there one of the few that make the slightly oddball stuff that not many others are doing.

So that begs the question...are you tempted to just bite the bullet and get one?

no no....way too pricey for my budget. Plus I have the 'right' block at home for what I want to do anyways. Its great to see these parts coming out though to advance 45 year old technology. Now we can REALLY see what a 409 design is capable of

Do all World blocks have that kind of webbing in the lifter valley?

I don't know for sure. But this is a serious addition to the block. Guys that still campaign these motors in drag racing will really be able to build some monsters now....550 cubes are possible with this block! They are getting 750hp out of 481 cubes

I looked on their website. No its just this block. Dunno why you wouldn't do it to all the performance blocks. More webbing= more strenght.

Makes me want to go out and find a '64 Biscayne and drop it in.
