I don't think this was posted yet, but check it out:
Click here (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=6164&item=2478354770&sspagename=ADME%3AB%3AEF%3AUS%3A1)

All I can say is WOW!

So, what do you think, real or fake?

I say fake. I would think that he if owned the car and it was starting at $100k then he could afford a better camera and take way more pics than were posted. Besides the winning bidder couldnt even pay for an auction that had a winning price of $1000, and he his last win was for trading cards that sold for .06!?!?! :linksucks :bsflag

There is a big debate on chevelles.com about this car. A lot of people think it is a fake. The last bid I saw was close to $300,000. Why would someone even want a car like that worth that much?? I would kill someone if they even looked at it wrong. :guns1

I would be skeptical as well. I don't think many were purchased when new to keep totally original and never driven like this one. Moving the car around over the years would add up to more than 26 miles probably. Even if it was a true 26 mile car, I would never pay anything near that much for it...or any car for that matter. Guess if you are filthy rich and have no idea or care what value is then it doesn't matter. :tomato

Actually the VIN won't even provide whether it is a true SS or not. You need engine codes, protecto-plate and other codes to prove this car is the real thing.

and THAT is why mid range condition cars are going for 20+ thousand now. The car my dad and I had(original L78 Chevelle '69 w/ a 4spd in great condition, non original motor but all documentation would probably fetch 15+ now. But we sold it for 7500. I would take that car back over buying ANYTHING that i have owned since then.

True, but wouldn't you be a little sceptical of someone triing to sell a car for that much and woun't tell you the VIN

If he does sell it I hope he gets a better camera those pics are horible

it has to be a fake. If it was real it would have been bought by GM themselves I would bet and stuck in a museum. I heard that GM owned the lowest mileage (to date anyways) 70SS 454 4-speed with something like 92 miles on it. A car with this low of miles would have been talked about or discovered to date. Its possible it could have that low of mileage but highly unlikely
