If people hate on this they are fucking shitheads and can piss up a tree. How can you hate on an american car company turning a profit in this shitty economy? I don't care what your brand loyalty is, this is great news.

Its great to see a company "back up" how its true followers feel about them.
Whatever the argument, they put people to work and made a profit.
For now, lets raise our Koolaid glasses and have a toast:thumbsup

I know why they did it... they simply build better cars for a lower price. What a concept?

I remember in 2001 I was looking at new cars, I looked at a Neon, a Cavalier, and a Focus. For the price, the Focus was HANDS DOWN a better car. It was actually (gasp) fun to drive. The Cavy wasn't bad, but the Neon... I never even thought about buying it once I test drove it.

Maybe once FIAT comes over, Chrysler can turn a profit as well. I know I can't wait to buy a Fiat 500. It honestly is the #1 car on my vehicular anticipation list.

I may be a Mopar guy at heart, but until DCX can give me a fun entry-level (under $15k base) car, I have no interest.

Pretty good considering the new cars sales climate, I guess cash 4 your clunker really helped them ? They have some really nice looking new cars, I cannot believe how much cars have changed in the last 20 years. Sadly I remember when the original Taurus came out and in a sea of Chev Celebs and K cars the 1986 Taurus was really a trendsetter.
I'm a bit sad the exploder is going to be a Taurus with different bodywork but Ford must adapt to the market they and the days everyone in a body on frame V8 SUV are gone and maybe for the better ?
