C4 fluid

Everything is plumbed for my C4, and now I need to fill it with trans fluid. I am hearing everything from 5w20 to trickshift and the guys saying use type f only and this leaves me a bit confused?



What is the brand you use and and why? Its a 1971 C4 with a upgraded valvebody, 1900 stall and a upgraded cooler.

Any ATF that is comparable to Dexron III is all you need.
Who the hell said 5W20??!!! FAIL
Type F fluid is thicker, and all I use it for is filling the power steering units in older Fords-they will leak with clear power steering fluid.
Trickshift is a waste of money.
