High Life is good too, but Bud Select is my latest poison of choice. However, the only kind of beer to ever give me the shits is wheat beer. One of my favorites is Hacker Pschorr and a six pack will clear you out the next morning with ease guaranteed.....:)

$12.59 for a 20-12oz. bottles is as close to free as I've seen lately, from Pick 'N Save if your curious. I don't know why it is so much cheaper than other Bud products but slow sales would be my first guess.....

I just started brewing my first beer this weekend. I decided to do a dark Porter since that's hands down my favorite style. If the wort is any indication, this should be a very tasty beer.

7.5# Pale Malt Extract
0.5# Caramel Malt
0.5# Chocolate Malt
.5 ounce Fuggle hops for bittering
.5 ounce Vanguard hops for flavor
.5 ounce Vanguard hops for aroma
Wyeast 1028 London Ale yeast
Starting off with an OG of 1.060

When I checked on it this morning I found that the krausen had pushed some hops into the airlock and blew cap off my carboy :wow I'm hoping the yeast activity was vigorous enough and I caught it in time before any bacteria could get in. After re-sanitizing I decided to add a blow off tube into a jug of Starsan solution.
