Ok, I think it's time for me to get a sniper rifle :D .

I highly recommend jailbreaking your iPhone, opens up a ton of apps, ringtones, etc etc....not to mention all of the iTunes apps for free. First step is getting downloading something such as blackra1n to the phone.

How does jailbreaking affect the warranty?

I didn't bother looking into it, since I am just assuming it tossed any warranty out the window. Kind of like modifying a newer car, which many do on here ;) . Low risk, high reward IMO.
