I'm getting an '86 K20 (3/4 ton 4x4 Chevy), Needs a fuel tank before I can take delivery. Anybody know of any place better then the usual suspects? Going rate seems to be $120 at the three vendors I checked. Looking for new, not used. Let me know if you know any place. Thanks!

JC Whitney or LMC Truck for ~$120. JC Whitney sometimes has a coupon.

They're kind of crappy. In fact, all of the new ones I've bought over the years have been crappy instead of the fancy OEM ones from Canada. I'd find a used OEM one. Quite often the passenger side tank of a truck with dual tanks is in good condition due to lack of use.

Possibly try Keystone Automotive. I just bought a new tank for my old '94 Jimmy there. The wanted $144 but I was able to talk them down to $100. Plus it only took one day to get. You could try the used route but you never know what you're gonna get. I bought a used one for $80 and it leaked. :punch: Kinda sucks when you have to do the job all over again...

Advance Auto Parts for the win. Walked into the store on 27th and Bolivar Saturday night to order it figuring it will take a few days to get here, nope. They have it there, on the shelf for $100. Straps, too. Forgot to ask about the sender. Gonna go back tomorrow, as I was on my way out Saturday night when I stopped in and didn't wanna deal with making room for it in the bed of my truck. With my discount tank, straps, and sender should be around $160ish. Advance is growing on me. They stock a lot of parts, and what they don't stock they can get fast at good prices.
