View Full Version : Nearly TEN years in the making.....

I first visited relatives in AZ back in `95-ish but didn't get ‘the bug’ until `01 when I was there for two weeks in the 110* heat of July. Ever since then the thought of moving to AZ has been in the back of my mind. With every passing year that thought became louder and louder until last Saturday during my flight home from a short vacation in AZ. I don't know what came over me but a final decision to move there was made within a matter of minutes, just like that.....:)

I've been through a LOT in the past 5 years and find myself in the rare situation of starting from scratch in every aspect of my life at nearly 30 years old. I figured if ever there was a time to give living in AZ a chance that time is now. The last ten years have gone by so fast I struggle to comprehend it and I'm scared to think how fast the next ten will go. For now the excitement is deep down as there are many loose ends to take care of here in WI but once those are done I'm gone like the wind. Time will ultimately tell if this change is permanent but for now I'm going to enjoy the ride and see where life takes me.....:burnout

Something like my plan of moving back to TX it isnt bad in WI but ehh ive had better lol.

WI has been my only place of residence since July 6th, 1980 (birfday) and this will be a completely new experience for me.....

Ton's of places to keep yourself busy...do it!

That reason is very high on my list, keeping busy in general with the nicer weather. I have an extreme ON/OFF type personality which is why winters for me are very difficult to deal with. I'm on top of the world during the summer months but during the winter months (like right now) it is the total opposite. In AZ I'm hoping to stay on a more even pace of life both emotionally and physically, maybe my clothes will fit me year round.....:durr

At this point in time I have absolutely no idea where I'll be living, working, etc. I will post up a thread in the near future asking if anyone who is familiar with the Phoenix area can offer me any advice.....

Once I have a better idea of when the 'day' is there will be a going away party for sure, and everyone is invited.....:)
