ET Street radials are the best for the track and provide the most overall grip, but don't live very long on the street. Had them on my old SRT-4 loved them they just didn't last very long... IIRC I only got like 4000ish miles out of them.

Nitto 555Rs last the longest on the street (10000+mi) but don't give you near as much grip. I have these on my car now and truthfully I don't like them very much. If I had a 12 second car they might be okay, but once you start pushing a lot of power through them they don't do very well.

IMO the BFGs aren't that great they only last a tiny tiny bit longer than the ET Streets but don't have as much grip.

The best setup, if money isn't as important, is to pick up a set of DRs/Slicks (used may work) for the track and just cruise around on a sticky street tire.

You really have to roast the living piss out of them to get them to hook at the track. Its best to stay out of the waterbox too, that helps a lot.

I like the et streets, but I do alot of racing. They have been lasting me very well, but my car is only a mid 12 sec. car right now. I bought mine with barely any tread left and they lasted me the whole summer, racing atleast 6-7 times a month. Nittos, like said above will last long, but I've never talked to someone who said, that they hooked good..

555Rs always treated me well, for the dollar. They require periodic re-balancing, proper rim width, and spot-on air pressure. 4psi makes a big difference in their performance.

I have 555rs now and they are ok. In the cold they suck ass and usually in 1st gear. Once they get warm theyre ok. Id go with MT drag radials next.

ET streets are probably the best ive seen... they are softer and will wear faster then others, but well worth it.... MT drag radials are also good.... stay away from anything that says nitto on it.... they are garbage.

I dont understand this wont last long talk with mickeys UNLESS you are doing lots of burnouts OR have them at the track lots. I drove to charlotte twice, spent all summer on them, and still have plenty of tread left on the tires. Treat em right and I havent had any issues except in the rain. Didnt do any burnouts and I wasnt at the track at all but I did drive the piss out of it.

THem buggers are slippery then. If you get caught in rain, hit the slow lane and back off the throttle and creep it home. I have close to 10000 miles on mine right now if not more

With no burnouts out on the street (lots of racing tho), burnouts and racing at the track, my 400whp DD LS1 Camaro turned a set of ET Streets into slicks in just over 2K miles.

I had to go find my old post from 3/16/09 where i had them put on. They have lasted me really well. Even with going to zmaxx car show and all that driving I did that week they are still going to make it deep into the summer. Well, one of them wont actually I have to buy a driver side one from sidewall damage from scraping

I had NT05's on my TA last year. They were new last year and they worked awesome. Only ran them on the street though and they hooked very good. I will be buying them again. When I went to the track though I ran a set Mt's that tom had laying around. Ryan also had the NT05's on his cobra and thought they were great also. I was never a fan of Nittos until the NT05. Mine still have some tread left but I am not easy on tires.

I run M/T 325/50/15 on my Camaro! They are BAD ASS tires. The only down fall is that they weigh a shit load.

they dont make the NTO5 in the size i need...

so i don't race at all on the street and only go to the track a couple times a year. i just really drive the hell out of my car. and i have a heavy foot. im not talking doing burnouts at every light i just drive it like i stole it :D
the M/T's should hold up ??

^yup.

Why not? Mine did. I went out and took this today with camera phone. Lots of tread left. I am not easy on them to save them. I drive it hard too
