I'm down here like Farwell and Irving, just north of Pizza Shuttle for the week for school stuff. I was wondering what the helicopters were all about flying overhead this morning.

Yet another fire where ladder co. 10 would have responded. Not saying it would have saved this building but could have helped.

You are 100 % correct Fred.. If you live in the City of Milwaukee call or email your alderman and the mayor regarding the decommissioning of L10... this is now the 4th of 4 fires in one month that either L10 or the other browned out ladder truck should have been at. 2 fatalitys, 1 with multiple injuries and now this monster fire..Thankfully no one was hurt.

meh, let it burn. It's just the east side. It could use a fresh start.

There are a lot of things they could do with that land. I would like to see a place built for indoor/outdoor concerts built on the land. Just a tad bigger then the Rave, but not in a shit hole place.:goof

That sucks...hopefully pizza man can arise anew.

Didn't they JUST reopen after remodeling? Would have sucked if it'd taken them out too.

same owner owns a bunch of those places. sucks for the loss of business and hope nobody gets hurt but I wouldnt be surprised if it was an inside job. his rent was outrageous and he was losing money for a little bit now.

Never happen. The people that own the Rave and like Shank Hall blocked House of Blues a couple years ago from coming here. Until Milwaukee stops thinking like a small 3rd rate city, they'll never become even second rate. Unless it's crime rate.

I heard the east sider had to close down because they didn't renew their liquor license.

I should have taken North Ave to see the damage.

Bah - I've been going to Pizza Man for a long time. Pizza (Mike) is a great guy and treats us like royalty every time we've been there.

Sad to see a successful small business suffer a tragedy like that in this economy.

Man! Sorry to see that. I watched the news this morning and saw the fire. I remember Pizza Man in the early 70s. I liked the old logo with the pizza man with the pie cut like a peace sign.

I live about 4 blocks away from PizzaMan. It's crazy, I was actually suppose to move into one of the apartments above there, but took this one instead.

I went by there earlier today. There's not much left of anything on that block. Goodluck trying to drive over there. There are road blocks set up everywhere

Pizza Man had a really extensive wine list too. I ordered a couple bottles when I was there one night. They are very knowledgeable. Not what you'd expect from a hippie pizza joint with graffiti over every sq inch.
