Yup, what he said, markviii.org and LvC are the two best sites out there. Might be looking for one this summer too.

Anyone remember the one commercial for those where the car would pull up to a limbo and the limbo bar would hit the top of the roof so the car couldn't go underneath. Then it backs up, accelerates, and at speed the car would lower and it passes right under the limbo bar.

That was always one of the coolest car commercials to me.

I loved those cars when I was younger.

Took my 1997 to Conneticut and back this spring, 26mpg average with AC (freezing) and 80mph average. The things are rock solid, no rattles or clunks anywhere.

Good deal, it already has the most expensive, most often in need of repair thing to watch for done already. That air bad suspension set up is not cheap!!!

You can always swap springs in, same parts from a 94-97 (4.6 V8) Thunderbird-Cougar. Far cheaper then having to spend on replacing the air bags. But there are a couple sites that sell the bags at an ok price.

Here's a couple:

I love the air suspension and would never do away with it on a daily driver type car, fixing it yourself is easy and affordable. In 5 years I replaced 1 height sensor and the air dryer on my Mark 7

I would only buy a gen 2 Mark 8, the gen 1's are clapped and ugly.

Lincoln air suspension 101:

If you have any problems at all dont hesitate to ask, I know every inch of the system as I got my car with problems even tho it has newer bags. They are stupid ez to diag and repair with my Genisiys scanner, testing the system is 99% of peoples issue. I love the ride, beats any Caddy I've ever driven.

I also dropped mine a little while learning the ins and outs :)
