a car whore that is....

Sold the sport trac on saturday and bought another Acura TL. :stare:stare:banana1:

04, 6-speed, nav, black on black. The twin to my old one except a year older and black interior vs gray.

110K miles, one owner, serviced at Acura of Brookfield its entire life, water pump and timing belt done at 105K. Got too good of a deal to pass up on it and been wanting one again for a while now.

My name is John, and I'm a car-o-holic.

Quick question Johnny,

IMO the best looking car Acura has ever made next to the NSX.

Acura has been all aboard the failboat with their new "shield" grill BS. Every one gets worse and worse. I think the current TL is possibly the ugliest car Honda or Acura has ever made.

Very Nice J. Sport Tracs sucks anayways. I test drove one once when the wife thought she wanted one. What a pile of shit. I love Acura TL's

Haha, thanks! I love the new one, 6-speed, SH-AWD, Tech, and 307HP. Car BOOGIES but more than I wanted to spend. Maybe in 2 years or so I will find an nice used 2010. I thought they were ugly as well, but it's starting to grow on me, and after driving one, I am in love with the car that much more!

While I kind of liked the sport trac (and the tahoe before that), this seems like a nice upgrade in the DD dept.

That said, owning/DD'ing this thing might lead to you drive the cobra 'vert less. If that occurs, this was a bad move, lol.

johnny--2k

nah, cobra will get driven plenty in the summer months. as long as its not raining I will still drive the cobra to work and such...

Nick, you don't have access to that information at your work?

Nick, you don't have access to that information at your work?

nope they dont tell us what we own the vehicle for, that way a sales person isnt tempted to go to the lowest price for the vehicle. Managers usually have that info.

88Nightmare

but nick, what if YOU wanted to buy a vehicle from your own employer... would they tell you then?

Waver

yes but I would have to go to one of the managers first

Looks pretty nice! Looks like previus owner took pretty care of it.

On a side note, I was watching YouTube and think I stumbled on your video of you and another guy cruisin in your Jeep SRT-8's? Sounded pretty good!

Nice ride!!!

I had a 2007 TL, Lease was up, and got 2010 Mustang. Bought a 1994 $hitbox Saturn wagon, and am looking to get a used TL this fall.

I've always liked those, didn't know they came with 6 speeds though! What are the specs on the power plant? FWD i presume?

johnny--2k
01-18-2010, 09:06 PM
Yes, its a FWD.

From Wikipedia:

It is powered by a 270 hp (201 kW); later revised to 258 hp (192 kW), based on the new SAE measurement standard for horsepower and 233 lb·ft (316 N·m) of torque, 3.2 L 24 valve SOHC VTEC V6 engine mated to either a 5-speed automatic with SportShift or 6-speed manual. Manual transmission models featured Brembo 4 Piston front brake calipers, a Torsen-type limited slip differential, and stiffer anti-roll bars front and rear.

Cool! Might have to look into one for a DD when the civic lease is up.

it really is a great car. I never had any problems with my 05 and I drove the snot out of that car! Progress 24MM Rear Sway Bar (up from 20MM on the 6-speed), Comptech Short Shifter ($50 at King Motorsports) and and AEM CAI and that car moved out pretty good and cornered pretty damn close to my S2000.

The car drives much smaller than it is, very very nimble for what it is! If you ever want a ride or to take it for a drive, let me know, I'm always around!

Wow, I'm getting behind with cars here... You got the Jeep when Krisie and I got the 9-3... Since then you've had... More than I can remember... And I've bought the 9000... LOL There's something wrong with me...

Then again, I use to be a car-a-holic, however it's a disease that's incurable, I'll be back to it in no time I'm sure... :rolf :rolf
