Okay I gotta get the fuck out of Wisconsin for a few days to party hard and have a good time, been busting my ass and penny pinching.

Time to spend just a bit for a 3 or 4 day vacation, I hear the weather is in the 60's-70's witch is fine by me.

Buddy of mine told me to stay at the Monte Carlo because its in the middle of the strip and its just a Clean place to stay, I'm not looking for a Castle with marble floors and what not. I plan to be out most of the time with a few hours of sleep depending on how are search for " Cocaine and hookers goes "

So for those that have been there what can you offer me as thoughts for a newbie heading there, I'm thinking in the next 3-4 weeks.

I did a little bit of searching tonight and will continue to read more, just need some real input

Info :

3-4 guys
All drinkers
Moderate/light gamblers
All enjoy music talent

Mirage is fantastic. I was there about year ago. My friends were 1 hotel over at the Caesar and they wished they stayed at the Mirage our room was way nicer and a bit cheaper.

It all depends on what you really want. The strip is fantastic and you can find anything that you want there. I go there on biz 2 to 3 times a year. I have stayed up and down the strip , and the Monte Carlo is pretty close to the middle of the strip. However, I have had the most fun on the other side of the strip. Paris, MGM, Hard, Rock, Hawaiian Tropics, all on the other side of the strip as well as the Hooters Hotel and Casino. Anything that you want can be found on the strip. The only limit is yourself.

I'm there twice a year for the drag races.
Casino Royale sponsors our race car so we all stay there.
You might consider staying there as well, it's no frills and the rooms
are pretty clean, in as far as cheaper hotel rooms go.
It's located right on the strip, next to Harras.

Not sure if you like Michelob beer, I really don't, but they sell Michelob for
a buck a bottle so I learn to choke it down.

Don't know about the blow but I've seen a hooker or two, and there are lots of gentlemens clubs outside of the main strip.

Have fun and be careful, there are a ton of weirdos and thugs everywhere.

I have also stayed at the Monte Carlo and it is very nice place to stay (The food is good too). The cheaper hotel that I stayed at was the Excalibur. It was descent and cheap. The night time dinner under it was cool too.

Monte Carlo is okay, although nobody goes there. It's one of those forgotten properties. Except for when it was on fire a couple years ago. lol

I wouldn't consider it middle of the strip. It's more on an end. I consider the Ceasars Palace area more middle of the strip.

A cheaper place that's got really nice rooms is Flamingo. I stay at Caesars when I go, but I get treated well there. I've always had an amazing room. If you're a smoker though, you'll get a shitty room.

Depends on what your into. Club scene? Just want to hang out and drink?

Cheap gambling is harder and harder to find on the strip. Very few $5 tables anymore unless you go to the lower end places.

O'Sheas is a fun younger place. The tables are lower limits, and the crowd is more a college crowd. They even have beer pong tables. Harra's has an outdoor area that's got live music and pretty happening at night. Tables there suck though.

I guess it depends purely on what you want to do. Keep in mind, there's a lot to see in Vegas. You can easily blow a whole weekend and not see everything.

I stayed at MGM grand. it was ok. Pool was a far walk from our room though. If I went again I would stay at Paris or Venetian.

Just take a shit load of money for food though! Very expensive unless you are going to eat fast food.

Drinking ain't that cheap either unless you're gambling, or know where to go.

You could always go downtown for a cheaper night of eating and drinking. Just stay under the Canopy. Outside of that and downtown gets shitty fast.

It's Vegas, hot women everywhere.

You want hot women, go to Hard Rock. It's off the strip but at night that's where the action is. You can usually find celebs hanging out and gambling as well.

If you're into strip clubs and when you're in Vegas, who is not; you have to go to Spearmint Rhino. By far THE best strip club I have EVER been to. 300+ girls per night are there. It is money.

If $15/hand blackjack is too high for you you might want to try to stay at these hotels during the week where limits are usually $10. Usually the lower level places like Xcalliber, Luxor, and off strip (except Palms, Hard Rock) have a table or two of $5/hand blackjack.

If you have alot of money to blow, go to Playboy Club on the top of the Palms tower. Blackjack is expensive ($25/hand before 9pm, $50/hand after) but you have bunnies dealing to you in very skimpy outfits and very flirtatious. I think cover is about $40 but all covers in Vegas clubs are expensive (at least $20).

I went for SEMA in November. I stayed at Circus Circus because I could walk to the Expo. Definitely the WRONG end of the strip for hot women. Staying and eating were cheap, but you won't have any fun.

Anything past Ceasars is going to be a good time. Reading these other posts, it sounds like the Mirage is a good spot. There are three free show/ attractions that are cool: Bilagio fountain, Mirage Volcano, Treasure Island Sirens.

Just don't walk alone drunk on the strip. Too many fellons waiting to rip you off or worse.
