Will an older model Explorer (early 90's) pair of leaf springs fit onto an older model (early 90's) ford ranger?

That's an iffy one... axles are under the leaf on a ranger. Explorers have the axles on top of the leaf...

all I know is my ranger needs new rear leaf springs, and I can easily pick up a set of explorer ones for cheap or free

Yeah, I broke one on my ranger. I think I paid $80 for a take off through B&M. Make sure it's your springs that broke and not the notorious rear shackles.

the truck still drives. I know the shackles/hangers are bad, but they are still intact. My passenger side leaf spring is physically broken, its plain as day. (one leaf on it completely broke in half)
