PC monitor problems....

OK so it a ACER X241W flat panel monitor.
its about 2 1/2 - 3 years old.

problem is when you go to turn it on it flashes the "ACER" logo like it always does then goes black and stays black.. Ive tried new power cable and video cable and a different PC.

is this something fixable or is it garbage and time to buy a new one..

it was my dads he gave it to me to mess with he said if you turn it on and off 5-6 times it will eventually stay on.. (ive tried about 10 times now and no luck)

thoughts on this???

Sounds like its time to pony up for new one. We had a few do this at work. Couldn't adjust anything no auto adjust would work either. Then they would do what yours is doing.

yeah my dad already got a new one.. its a 28" or something LCD monitor.. i forget exactly how big and what brand..

just wasn't sure if its worth messing with the old one..
