Sad day for Ford drag racing people.:( Bob Tasca Sr. passed away.
The man who gave birth to the Thunderbolt and the Cobra Jet Mustang, through using his dealership mechanics and Ford parts and proving to Ford what they should build.
He is also responsible for getting John Force and Ford together.
He also originated the saying "race on sunday, sell on monday".
In 1968.5, Hot Rod called the Cobra Jet Mustang the "Fastest running pure stock in the history of man". I was lucky enough to own one of the "one dollar cars" that Ford built 50 of and sold to popular racers across the US for $1.00 with special prep, no sound deadener, heater, etc. They were all white with the black hood stripe.
Hope his family can carry on the tradition for a long time to come.
The thread name is Bob Tasca III-sorry, it is Sr.
