Yes, talking about those that were injured. Being minors, I bet those parents were extremely worried since I'm sure it's not the largest area. Like the article said, some of the family members of that firefighter actually work at the building. That's gotta be rough.

First off prayers and thoughts to the familys involved this I have no idea how I would handle this if happened at the dept. I work for.

Second we call our program for kids from 15-18 fire explorers many places have different names normally they are kept way back from the fire or danger in a safe or cool zone but they really do get to do alot of work

Terrible tragedy. I heard about the metals reacting with water and my first thought was magnesium. The news said aluminum. Sad. My prayers go out to the family and FF brothers and sisters.

I am surprised thou that they allowed a 15 year old explorer to be close enough to be injured... on my dept the explorers are very limited as to what they can do, and lots of accountability is taken, but each dept has their own policies a guess......
