Opened up the PS3 and it says...

"Not allowed to use the network with this account"

Anyone else ever get that? It's not like I was playing COD and got banned or anything. Just had been playing Rock Band with the girlfriend.

I downloaded and installed the update.

EDIT - error code saying I violated the terms of service agreement. WTF???

how the hell did I do that.

It might be the screen name but we've all seen worse.

I think it was because of my using my credit card to put money in the wallet, and capital one called me to make sure it wasn't theft. maybe they blocked the transaction is what I'm thinking, and that is a part of the TOS obviously.

I did send an email to them, so we'll see what they say.

I read on the PS network forum that there was a goo dnumber of people experiencing that. Not everyone can speak up though because it requires you to sign in with your PS3 account information, and if you are banned, you can't do that. So I couldn't even sign up to post my questions about what happened.

wonder if they did it because of the username? people file complaints on xbox due to offensive usernames, not sure what happens but who knows.

Yoosof, that's the problem, it's probably been a month since i've played on a public game with strangers. Lately just been playing single player games or LAN parties with Myles and British Ben or the Rock Band with the girlfriend.

That would be a LONG time to wait to do something about a report.

I can't see it being the name, its not that bad. Although the credit card thing sounds like it may be the issue?? We'll see, make sure you post up their response.

that's exactly what I'm seeing. If they say name, i'm just signing on with a different name and renting COD4MW2 and taking pics of all the other names and sending it too them w/ a letter from an attorney maybe, hahaha. Just cause it's easy to do. Plus they would still have my money in the "wallet" that I wouldnt' be able to use.
