How much butter are you eating that you see it to be a problem?

Like a stick a day?

:rolf LOL No !!!

I like to eat Toast in the AM almost every day and well when I make stuff I use butter with it, this watching my butter intake just came into mind when I finished my rather large tub of buttter.

While I was at pick 'n save there were like 40 options and it made me think :rolf

I use Smart Balance when I'm not using real butter. For lunch meat sandwiches n' stuff you really can't tell and it helps make up for the fact that you are eating Deli meats... Got Trans-Fats and Sodium?:durr

But when real flavor is what you crave, then fuck the arteries, 'cause REAL BUTTER is where it's at...:shades

If butter is such a big problem for you, try something other then butter. Maybe jelly? Find some natural jelly where all it has is natural sugar in it. I use something called Nutella.

It's pretty good. I love it.

Smart Balance tastes like butter for the most part and isn't so bad for you.

Just had some Nutella tonight and it is really good, however it still has a lot of sugar in it though. But yes, it is better for you than butter and has some nutritional value.

Breakfast is one of the most important meals of the day and simply toast with butter isn't going to help your body to fuel itself right away and lead to you being more hungry later in the day. Maybe possibly try a portion of natural peanut butter? Then you have good fats, protein and carbs.

Stay away from trans fat, something about it being in your body for a long time.

OK. I can tell you that there is little difference between margarine and butter except taste. I prefer real butter over margarine. Butter is actually better in the long run as it isn't a processed altered vegetable based chemical. I really can't speak for the yogurt based spreads, but it is thought that yogurt is healthier for you. Products like I Can't Believe It's Not Butter" make me laugh. I certainly can tell it ain't butter no way no how. Another thing to consider is that most butter brands all come from the same dairy, like milk. I know Dean's produces milk for Golden Guernsey and Piggly Wiggly's brand.

Google is your friend. Search "Butter vs margarine"

If your not a major butter addict and your family doesn't have a major history of heart disease, normal butter shouldn't bee a big concern . If you are the opposite person as described you might want to consider alternatives to real butter.:thumbsup
