We're homeowners! Signed the papers tonight. Feels nice to make it official and that our monthly payment actually goes to something.

Now to find a big bow to put on it.... :banana1:

I know, I have a feeling next year is going to be really boring!

Although after all the good and bad of this year, I'm actually okay with that.

Thanks for the kind words everyone!!

I don't know, but feel free to start building it anytime. The dogs would love a 2.5 car garage dog house....

having a house is a great feeling, but it is a lot of work. I bought in August, and I told myself no big remodels for at least 6 months. Well were 3 months in and I don't have a kitchen...

It will all happen so fast.

In Hubertus (out near Holy Hill, but closer to Cabelas).

Here are some pics from early spring (explains the ugly grass).

Second garage and a branch (not an animal like I think it looks like).

From this summer (Adam's a bit obsessed with the grass. I can't wait to cut down a few of the trees, specifically the big bush in the front yard that was supposed to stay small and the dead tree I used to play under when I was a kid.)

We have been renting it since April, which helped us see if we could handle this property as a "starter home" and if we could truly afford it and still be "comfortable" financially as we start our life together as husband and wife.

I got the niece discount, otherwise there is no way we could swing it this early on in our lives. My uncle built the house in 1990, so it's younger then me! :goof

I think my Dad did electrical work at that house years ago. Looks awfully familiar.

Must have been a nice discount. What are the taxes like out there? I just got my tax bill for my first house and it was under $2000, just curious what they are on a property like that.

Absolutely awesome. Congrats. You are very fortunate indeed. Looks like more of a great place to retire than a starter home, but definitely a nice place to live.

Wow! That's an awesome place, especially considering its your first home. Mine will be nothing close to that :(

That is awesome. I think thats a dream first house for most of us. 2 garages and some land to play around on, can't get much better than that.
