how to solve this (simple) pc issue?

hey guy's. I had my computer crash a few months ago, got it fixed, got it back 2 weeks later got a trojoan virus. FML. got it fixed, got it back.

since my computer crashed when i save pic's i've had some of them save but not be viewable anymore.

anyone know how to fix this?

Very possible the files got corrupted in which case they wont be viewable, see if you can even open the files in a program like photoshop or paint.

can't open them in paint. and don't have PS.

also it does it to some new pics i save as well, not just ones i've had.

Try saving them to a cd and viewing them on a different computer, if they still dont show theyre corrupt.

Do the file names say .jif or .jpg or whatever?

Vista doesn't seem to work well with foreign shit. Maybe you could replace those with some pictures of non-imports. Seems to work fine for me :goof

FTR this does not seem to be a simple issue. Looks like data corruption as was said.

Your browser is either downloading shit fucked up or its writing to sectors that are jacked up.

Try a different browser or a different drive. If that doesnt fix it, vista is jacked, reformat and put 7 on it.
