I use them in all my customers cars. Work awesome. And if they do blow out call them up and they send you new ones no questions asked..!

Ron, what do you do to prepare the flange? grind it down?

I think I'm batting about 50% on gasket leaks...the least two were fine though.

just clean the surfaces with a wire wheel and make wipe with a rag with brakecleaner to remove any oils that may be there.
a light bead is plenty.

You've used RTV High temp for header gaskets? :wooo

Isn't that only rated at like 650*???

I have used it on my headers for 3 years now. We ran out of orange on the engine dyno one time and just used the regular black stuff and it worked great as well. Never had a leak.

People use it for turbo flanges etc.

On Prince Valiant's Lil' Red Express I used them for my exhaust manifolds and they are great IMO. Chrysler never used gaskets on their manifolds from the factory and I know several Mopar guys who have used these on their cars with headers and manifolds with no issues because for us the manifolds have warped and didn't have the once great seal they did.
I think the thing you want is the thickness. I wouldn't grind down at all to make them even. That's what these gaskets are about and they saved me from having the manifolds machined at a machine shop.
