ford fucked up. if they had released this motor in 2010 with the new mustang, they could have killed the camaro again.

on another note:

Again??? :rolf

Camaro = producing salty, sad, deprived mustang owners for many years.

I'm sure this mustang wont be much to brag about either. But hey lets give it the benefit of the doubt and see what happens when it actually hits the road. :thumbsup

Rest assured it will need forced induction to even be somewhat feared... This will bring it on the same performance level of a Camaro, will not surpass it.

And over 50,000 sold out of 70,xxx 5th gen units produced to date..... And the BFS IRS is holding up in mid 9 sec cars currently.

Well, at least they are trying "something". Even if they are slightly slower, they will still sell enough to keep the line going. And yes, every Mustang stays in rock stock "as delivered" configuration:rolleyes:.

What sucks is they are probably going to cheap out on the bottom-end of the motor again.

Good and bad news. Good that Ford has raised the bar, bad that I will not be buying a new car in May. Not going to get a 315 hp 2010 when a 412 HP version coming in less than a year.

Stock headers too. No need to buy aftermarket ones--should sound bad ass!

Did the article say when the 2011 will be available for purchase--I did not read it.

Fuck the motor, they need to fix that ugly ass rear end. :punch:

And before all the Stang boys get up in arms here, I do think Ford has done a good job on things such as the handling (for a solid alxe car) and interior.

I agree. I think they really effed up in that department. The previous body style looks MUCH better.

Yeah, and the square vents in the dash instead of all round like the 05-09's need to go to. Other than that the interior is nicer.

Ass=fugly.

I will agree with all, the rear end sucks, and I have not liked it since I saw a preproduction one last year. As far as the bottom end of the 5.0, the engine should have a very solid bottom end, being baised off of the 5.0 cammer engine...........this should be good

Agreed I like the 05-09 rear ends better then the new, but love the stock LED sequential taillights, nice touch. Overall the new Mustang is great, but the new motor is a must have to compete with Chevy and Dodge.

Rear end is ugly, but the rest of the car looks better overall, 5.0 should be awesome.

Should be be here by summer time I would think, my buddies dad who works at Ford already put his order in for the 2011 5.0 and its supposed to be there sometime between April-May so I imagine spring time for taking orders if not sooner.
