The heat works, but it seems the blower is taking a shit or something.

It started out that it would only blow heat on the 3rd fan setting. Then it was just the 4th, and now it'll only blow on the highest setting.

Any idea what the deal is?

This is a 2000 Camry with 210k on it. It's the first thing that has went wrong with it. :thumbsup

Blower Motor resistors are very common on domestic cars, not sure on imports. If it works on high, then 99% of the time its a blower motor resistor

EDIT: NM. Now that I know what it is I did some research. It's VERY common and costs $20. It's super easy to get at an is an easy fix.

Thanks for the help with the part. :)

Thank you BCM members for yet even more usefull info :thumbsup

I had this problem on a 95 Escort once, but for the life of me, couldnt figure out why my heat would work sometimes, sometimes not at all, and sometimes only on the highest setting.
