The plastic piece in the charging port of my laptop broke and now it is a pain to charge it. I don't want to send it into dell if I don't have to. Just wondering if there is a repair shop that is good and reasonably priced. Thanks for any suggestions

milwaukee pc i think there is 1 on either 27th, 76th, or 108th street. i dont remember. but i had computer problems once, and this guy i used to work with (who ended up building me a computer for free-thanks greg!) suggested i check them (mpc) out for anything i might need to buy during the process of the build.

Check with ND4Spd here on BCM he has a sticky in the for sale forum. He does computer sales and service. Maybe he can help you out.

Can't you just superglue the broken piece back on?

My brother will fix it, probably 1/4 the price Milwaukee PC would charge too.

Unfortunately if its like my Dell Laptop and if I am picturing correctly what is wrong with it. Its the sotter joint on the Motherboard that is bad. Not something that can exactly be superglued. When mine failed, I had the exact same problem, Dell ended up replacing the whole motherboard. I would assume though someone good with computers should be able to resotter that plug though.

Needs a replacement AC jack, $5 part, usually ~$70 fix (1hr labor) at most places, unless they're raping you.
