I believe there was a thread about this awhile ago, looking for some advice because I couldn't find the thread. Has anyone ever removed tile from cement floor before? It's in the basement, directly on the concrete floor, no subfloor. I have removed almost all the tile, now I am looking for a decent way to remove the grout. Also, more importantly, do I actually need to remove the grout or can I have someone smooth it out with something? My goal is to carpet the rooms I am going to build, so do I have to remove the grout totally? Any ideas/solutions/ things that have WORKED in the past would be great.
