Going down this week end to pick it up. 1986 Mercury Capri ASC McLaren Eurocoupe. One of 47 Eurocoupes built, one of eleven in grey. T-tops, auto (originally), A/C, cruise, tilt PW/PL. Prolly a one of one car. I will be the fourth owner. The gentle man I am buying the car from completely disassembled the car to do a full rotisserie on it and lost interest. Original drive train and seats are long gone. Car is going into storage until I have a proper place to begin on it. Until then I will be collecting parts and planning. Exterior and interior will as it was when new; except for possibly wheels and I will try and match the OEM seats as close as I can. Motor will be 302 based with EFI and prolly very stock looking. Pics are from the seller.

As it sits...

Before being stripped, (and how it will again look)...

Nice! Always had a soft spot for Capri's. And this one seems like a great choice!

ever feel like a waste of money? Not hatin, just saying to get that where it needs to be you could really have something nice elsewhere in another investment

That can be said about anything.

Congrats on picking up a clean rare fox!

Thanks, Andy and Michelle. It's gonna be a long road, but I can't wait to get started. I bought this because it's a cool ass car, not as an investment.

Got the car today. It is ridiculously clean. Quite a few odds and ends missing, but all the big parts are there except the sideskirts, and those are still available. Gonna get a donar car for a motor, hardware and other odds and ends. For now all I can do Is dream...

Wow I like the front end on that thing, not a fan of the tail lights and hatch.

I have one sitting in my driveway. My wife love Capri's but there so damn hard to find parts for.

I know where one is sitting neglected that I may try and scoop up and strip come spring as to save it from the crusher. Driving passed it the fenders, hood, and bubble hatch all look decent.
