I'll show you little traction LOL I made 2 video clips for a presentation I'm doing for a class about cars. Part of it is about tires and I'll be using these clips to demonstrate the difference good tires can make. So here's the other clip where I have street tires on

Yeah it's all nice and powerwashed now. The only problem I found was the cam bearings were bad, so the block is going to C&S for some new ones this week. Then it's all downhill from there :thumbsup

no this motor was a factory 5.3 liter block pulled out of a suburban at about 110k the motor was completly packed with sludge everywhere. so i'm not shure how it goes bad but would assume lack of lubrication was culprit.

How did the cam bearings go bad? I have never had a cam bearing replaced or go bad, this is including motors pulled out of the junk yard.

Was it do to improper installation?

Yeah somehow the rod/main bearings look great, crank journals are all smooth. Just the cam bearings were all copper and the cam didn't want to come out at first. Also lifters are f'd but I wouldn't reuse those anyway. Any bets as to how much power it will take before it blows?
