Jess & I were in Fayette Iowa this weekend for her grauduation from Upper Iowa U and gas is as you can see- reasonably priced there. Why the F*** is it so expensive here again?

You're right there. Last summer when I was in PA, I filled up at a Sunoco with 93 for about 30 cents cheaper than what 93 was around here at the time. I think even their 94 octane was a good 10 cents cheaper.

America actually has some of the largest untapped reserves in the world...funny that such a small producing country has more oil than even canada's "proved" oil resources (basically "proved" means how much oil is KNOWN to exist is easily drilled conditions).

One startling fact is that as far as canada's reserves...they do have some of the motherloads. It is estimated that the Canadian "oil sands" have an estimated 1.7 trillion barrels of oil and it is technologically feasible to extract them today...from this they can extract 250+billion barrels...this is equal to the current total known reserves from saudi arabia. Couple this with other oil shands located throughout the world and consumption increases 1.5% every year (far outpacing the actual increases) then one can safely estimate that there is over 500 years+ left of oil consumption...plenty of time to develop other technologies. :shades

Because in Chicago and Detroit they have pollution so in Wisconsin we get to suffer for it by paying a premium price for a fuel with alcohol in it which burns stoichiometric at a richer air-fuel ratio than gasoline, meaning you get worse gas mileage!! Don't forget you get to PAY EXTRA for this privilege of this HORSE SH!T! :flipoff2: :sniper
