:fireWTF! im so irratated!

What is going on??

Everything was fine, i added in a router, and my internet is like 1/2 speed!:fire

My router sends out wireless internet and i have absolutly no idea how to make it stop!

If i break the fucking antenna off my router, or conceal it in some sort of lead box, will it have any affect on MY PAID FOR 1/2 speed internet?

UGH! Not only is my computer running EXTRA SLOW but my x-box is lagging like mad!

Can anyone help or give suggestions? im furious and i feel like i just wasted a bunch of money.

ALSO i just called time warner cable, and supposedly, i DONT have roadrunner turbo, EVENTHOUGH, THIS was the agreed upon internet i chose to receive!

WTF 2mbps!!! :flipoff2:

/rant

please any advise would be appreciated.
FUCK TIME WARNER:flipoff2:

OK after 36 minutes on the phone, i was told..

"Download speed is fine, Upload speed is 'close enough'"

IDK when "close enough" became a term usable by companies, but i dont like it.

I asked about swapping out my modem, and they said i dont need to, its ok.

IDK i guess im just SOL.... again

type http://192.168.0.1 into your browser then the user name is admin and the password is password. Your whole router can be set-up here. From here, do the basic set-up again and then you can turn off wifi in the wireless settings.

if you want to turn it off, you dont need security options. Try to change modes or go to advanced wireless options.
