i wanna get rid of that gap between the t2-ihi flange so i can use my stock oil return instead of dropping the oil pan and all that junk.

I know a fabrication shop that could do this for you pretty cheap. (and no i dont work for them)

they are called "crack eliminators" and located right off Pennsylvania ave (near 794)

very reasonable on prices, and good fabricators. i dont have any contact info for you, sorry, but they are in the phone book.

Is it stainless?

All I have right now is my flux core machine for work.

Cast is a whole different animal to weld....especially manifolds that have deeper pits. To achieve a strong weld IMO you're gonna need to find somebody to do gas shielded flux core weld...and a wire with higher nickle in it. A tri-mix gas would be best.

You can also have it tig welded with a high nickle filler....but sometimes that doesn't work as well on somethig that has a lot of thermal cycles (going from hot to cold).

I wouldn't feel comfortable doing it with what I have at home right now. It would probably eventually crack.

I do have some 309L rod....but my stick welder has been acting weird. Something is wrong internally with it.

Good luck. :)
