And they'd still be right. Which car moved off the line quicker and harder? The RWD car. Had the hp to weight ratios been equal, the RWD car would've crapped all over the FWDriver. Period. Making the drive wheels also have to do the steering and then hanging them off of the end of the car that gets the short end of the weight transfer stick is an exquisitely bad idea, especially when you're trying to make your drive axles live with the kind of power that nets you six second, damned near 200mph time slips.

Ever seen a FWD Indy car? How about a FWD F1 car? Top Fuel? Alky? Pro Stock? Didn't think so. If FWD was such a superior racing platform it would have taken over years ago. Car Guy, the poster I took issue with, made what I consider an ignorant statement. He alludes to the supposition that somehow one man's achievement with a handicapped drive train layout is a game changer. Gee, now that one guy has gone 6's with a FWD car, we should all switch over. That's why he had the little :durr smiley after his post. I just thought I'd make a logical argument against such thinking. I just did it my usual, un-candy-coated manner.

I agree with you on the v8 statement, I like going to the track and seeing these BBC cars that are fully tubbed and idle like a top fuelie, just to clip off a mid 11 second pass :rolf But thoes are the cars that are consistant and go rounds and win money.... This guy has nothing mroe then bragging rights which to me is kind of worthless and really just a novelty.
